A teen was shot and injured by an unknown suspect outside a south Fort Worth home Wednesday night, police said.

Officers responded to the 7500 block of Novella Drive shortly before midnight regarding a shooting call. They found a teenage boy with a gunshot wound to the right leg, according to police.

The victim told officers he’d gone outside to investigate a loud noise when someone shot him. He didn’t know who shot him or which direction the gunfire came from, police said.

The juvenile victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No suspects are in custody, according to police.
