West Pipeline Road construction delayed in Hurst. Here’s the new timeline

Google Maps

Drivers who are facing headaches as they maneuver construction on Pipeline Road in Hurst should see some relief by spring.

Work began in early 2022 to widen the road between Lorean Branch Bridge and Harrison Lane. It was supposed to be completed this month, but was delayed when Atmos Energy installed a new gas main on the north side of the street, city officials said.

The improvements include medians for left turn lanes, lights in the medians and sidewalks with pedestrian lighting. Storm drains, water lines and sewer lines were replaced.

Construction on the south side of the road is complete. Work is now starting on the north side.
