82-year-old driver killed in head-on car crash in Tarrant County

A 82-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Haslet on Sunday, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Highway 156 South, where two vehicles had collided head-on, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

The 82-year-old driver of one of the vehicles, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as Glen South, of North Richland Hills, was taken to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Grapevine, where he was pronounced dead about 5:15 p.m.

The other three occupants of both vehicles did not suffer serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
