A new brewpub movie theater is brewing up something special in North Texas.

Flix Brewhouse is opening on Sept. 28 at The Shops of Broad in Mansfield at 416 U.S. 287 Frontage Road. The theater is about a 30 minute drive southeast of Fort Worth.

The theater chain is known for its on-site brewery at each of its locations. Mansfield is no different, as the theater’s brewery team will craft specialty beers unique to its location and in tribute to certain films, according to a press release.

Flix Brewhouse’s 38,000-square-foot Mansfield movie theater will house nine auditoriums, complete with reclining chairs and pivoting tabletops. This is a dine-in theater, meaning patrons can order food and drinks delivered directly to their seats.

Popcorn and candy are just a taste of what film fans can snack on at the Mansfield theater, along with burgers, pizza, sandwiches and salads. Breakfast is served all-day at the theater, from tater tot tacos to a breakfast sausage pizza.

The theater chain was founded in Round Rock in 2011 and has since expanded into New Mexico, Wisconsin, Iowa Indiana and Oklahoma. Besides Mansfield, the theater’s other North Texas location is in Frisco at 1660 Farm to Market 423.
