People attend the State Fair of Texas for its fried food delights, but what about bringing a little home cooking with you?
The 137th running of the fair will be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 22. The 24 consecutive days of fun are all held at Fair Park in Dallas at 3809 Grand Ave.
The fair is a place to try new food creations including the winners of the 2023 Big Tex Choice Awards.:
Can I bring my own food and drinks into the State Fair?
Yes, people are allowed to bring their own food and beverages into the fair.
However, metal forks and knives, glass containers and alcohol are prohibited. If you bring a cooler, it will be searched the fairground gates.
