Garland police cancel search for 61-year-old woman who went missing Thursday morning

The Garland Police Department discontinued an endangered missing person alert for a 61-year-old woman who was last seen Thursday morning.

Police were looking for Sandra Hardaway, who was last seen around 8:30 a.m. Thursday on foot in the 700 block of Tearose Drive.

Hardaway was described as a Black woman who is 6 feet tall, weighs 160 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt, blue jeans, and unknown shoes.

She is diagnosed with an intellectual disability and law enforcement authorities believed her disappearance posed a credible threat to her health and safety.

Anyone with information about Hardaway or her whereabouts was asked to contact Garland police at 972-485-4835..
