“Barbie” — the 2023 dramedy film directed by Greta Gerwig starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling — is set to officially release in theaters Friday. There are a number of promotions and events happening in North Texas to celebrate.

Texas-based jewelry brand Kendra Scott’s Barbie x Kendra Scott collection has limited edition necklaces, earrings and bracelets inspired by the Barbie brand’s celebration of positivity and individuality. For every purchase of the Barbie x Kendra Scott Emilie Stud Earrings — a subtle pink, iridescent glitter glass piece — a 20% donation will be given to the Barbie Dream Gap Project.

The Barbie Dream Gap Project donates to non-profit organizations that help girls reach their potential.

There are also events happening around the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the “Barbie” movie’s opening weekend.

Here are three ways to party like Barbie in North Texas this weekend.

Destination Barbie Land

EVO Entertainment in Southlake will host a free immersive event special to the movie.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed as Barbie or Ken and visit the Barbie beach club, Barbie Disco Dance Floor and the Barbie Glam Boutique.

The Barbie Glam Boutique will give free hair glam-ups Thursday through Saturday between 5-7:30 p.m.

Barbie themed photo installation

Interactive art museum The Selfie Bar in Addison has a Barbie-themed installation that will make it look like you’re in your own Barbie doll box.

The Selfie Bar is open Friday 5:30-10 p.m., Saturday noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. General admission is $20 and hour and a half photo sessions are $30 for kids ages three to 11 and $45 for adults and photographers.

Dreamland Dollhouse Party

Immerse yourself in the world of Barbie with larger-than-life photo-ops, pink-themed art installations and mesmerizing lighting at the Dreamland Dollhouse Party at the Sweet Tooth Hotel Flagship, located at 1511 Elm Street in Dallas.

DJ Barbie Q will keep the dance floor alive in the Calirosa Cocktail Lounge, spinning a mix of pop hits and throwback tunes.

This event is on Friday between 7-10 p.m. and is for ages 21 and older. A general admission dollhouse ticket is $25, which includes one Barbie-themed cocktail or mocktail.
