Bojangles opened its first Texas restaurant last month, but many might be wondering: Where is the bone-in fried chicken?

The newest Bojangles location in Texas opened in Euless on June 27 at 201 E. Euless Blvd. The fried chicken restaurant is located off State Highway 183 TEXpress toll road and Airport Freeway, just minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

While known for their bone-in chicken at their east coast eateries, Bojangles is streamlining its menu in new markets such as Texas with a boneless chicken offerings, a company spokesperson said.

The change disappointed many on social media who asked why the bone-in fried chicken never made the move to Texas.

Not to say that there weren’t those just happy to see the restaurant make its way back to Texas.

This means chicken tenders are the name of the game in Texas. Whether it’s in a combo meal, a sandwich or biscuit, boneless chicken is what patrons will find at Bojangles in Texas.

Other Bojangles options include Bo-Berry biscuits, peach cobbler, salads, lemonade and milkshakes.

The North Carolina-based company has been around since 1977 and are famous for their Cajun-inspired fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits. This isn’t the first time Bojangles has been in Texas, having opened several stores in the Metroplex in the 1980s before moving out of the state years later.

Along with Euless, Bojangles is planning to open several restaurants over North Texas in the coming months and years. Construction is already underway for stores in Frisco at 1631 US Highway 380 and in Lancaster at 790 I-35E.
