More than 60 cats and a dog found in Bedford home during eviction, police say
Bedford police are investigating a home where more than 60 cats were found, the department announced Tuesday in a news release.
On Monday, Bedford Animal Control officers were called to assist the Tarrant County Constables Office with an eviction process at a Bedford home.
More than 60 cats were found living at the residence, along with one dog, according to the news release.
The animals have been removed from residence and the police department is investigating the health and welfare of all the animals in addition to their living conditions.
“Due to elements involved with this investigation the identity of the person living at the location or the exact address of the home will not be released at this time,” police said in the release.
