Pedestrian fatally struck by pickup truck on Grand Prairie street, police say
A woman walking down a Grand Prairie street was fatally struck by a pickup truck Wednesday night, police said.
The driver of a GMC pickup truck hit a pedestrian around 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of SE 14th Street. Witnesses had seen the woman walking in the middle of the road, officials said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating the collision, but no criminal charges are expected to be filed against the pickup’s driver, according to officials.
Officials haven’t released the identity of the woman pending notification of next of kin.
