Decatur issues boil notice after water main break; schools closing early, canceled Friday
The Decatur school district canceled classes early Thursday and will be closed Friday after a water main break prompted a boil water notice.
Superintendent Chad Jones said parents can pick up their children, and buses will start picking up students at 1 p.m.
The boil notice states that water should come to a rolling boil for two minutes before washing hands, brushing teeth, cooking or bathing.
