One person was killed and three injured when a car collided with two pickups Friday morning near Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, officials said.

A Chevrolet passenger car traveling south in the 1800 block of South Beltline Road veered into traffic and collided with a Ford pickup truck around 6:40 a.m., police said. The Chevy then crashed head-on into a Dodge pickup.

A passenger in the Chevy died at the scene, officials said. The driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Authorities haven’t yet released the name or age of the person who died.

The drivers of the Ford and Dodge were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The accident is under investigation, according to police.

Investigators said weather may have been a factor in the accident. The crash took place during the storm Friday morning.

The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were also not wearing seatbelts, and authorities said that may have contributed to their injuries.
