49-year-old man dies in northwest Tarrant County car accident, trapped in vehicle

A 49-year-old man died in a car crash in northwest Tarrant County late Tuesday afternoon, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office
At around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 7700 block of Nine Mile Bridge Road in response to a vehicle rollover with an entrapment.
A Chevrolet SUV vehicle had hit a utility pole and landed upside down, deputies said in a news release.
A 52-year-old female passenger was not seriously injured and managed to get out of the vehicle on her own, but the man who was driving was trapped.
Despite being able to get the driver out of the car, emergency personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the driver as Brian Joe Cowan.
