Teen brothers arrested in fatal shooting of Dallas man in Garland, police say
A 17-year-old boy and his 19-year-old brother have been arrested in the weekend fatal shooting of a man in Garland, Garland police said Tuesday.
A second person also was critically injured in the Saturday afternoon shooting.
The motive for the offense has not been determined.
Garland police identified the suspects as Christopher Sagrero 17, and Jose Sagrero 19, both from Garland. The two who were arrested Saturday are expected to be charged with murder in the case.
Garland police responded to the shooting call just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of S. Forest Creek Drive after a 911 caller reported that multiple people had been shot and that the suspects involved had left the area.
Police did not release any information on a motive for the shooting.
Once they arrived, officers learned that one victim had left the scene and had been transported to a local hospital by private means. The second victim was transported to a local hospital by Garland paramedics. Both were listed in critical condition.
On Monday, Garland police were informed that one of the victims had died. Police identified the victim as 24-year-old Moises Flores of Dallas.
The second victim is still in the hospital, his current condition is unknown.
