A man and a woman were found shot to death late Wednesday in a bedroom at a southeast Fort Worth home, authorities said.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting deaths.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the woman as 45-year-old Calleen Denise Medlin. The name of the man has not yet been released by authorities.

Fort Worth police responded to the shooting call just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of Killian Street.

When they arrived, police said, they found two shooting victims in one of the bedrooms in the house. The two, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, were pronounced dead at the scene.

An ambulance also arrived at the scene of the shooting, according to a neighbor, who did not want to be named.

The neighbor believes that the man and woman who were killed were husband and wife and were middle-aged.

Police had been heavily patrolling the neighborhood recently and gunshots were heard in the area for the past week leading up to the fatal shooting, the resident said.

Police have not announced any arrests or released any information on a motive for the shooting.
