One killed in single-vehicle wreck in Grapevine, police say

One person died after their vehicle swerved off the roadway and hit an overpass pillar in Grapevine on Friday evening.

The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. The car, a Honda Civic, was traveling in the northbound lanes of State Highway 121 near Mustang Drive prior to the wreck.

Police said upon their arrival, they found the driver dead at the scene.

They did not provide additional information regarding the driver’s gender or age. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office also has not released the person’s identity yet.

Police also said the driver was the sole occupant inside the vehicle and their investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing. Witnesses told responding officers the car was not speeding at the time of the crash.
