Your tiny Texan could be the new face of Gerber and win $25K. How to enter the contest
The next face of baby brand Gerber could be a tiny Texan.
Entries to be the next Gerber “spokesbaby” are open, and you have until Thursday at 11 p.m. to submit yours. Gerber, the early childhood nutrition company that makes baby products, has been doing the contest for 12 years.
The winner of the Gerber photo search will be featured on the company’s social media channels and marketing campaigns for the year. The family also will take home $25,000 in cash and receive baby products. Gerber will donate the amount of the cash prize to March of Dimes, a nonprofit that works to improve the health of mothers and babies.
This year’s winner also will be crowned Gerber’s “chief growing officer,” a role started and given to last year’s champion, 1-year-old Zane Kahin. In the role, Zane taste-tested solid foods for the first time, among other executive baby demands.
As of Monday, Texas leads the way with almost 10% of contest entries.
How do I enter the Gerber contest?
The photo search portal is live at photosearch.gerber.com and requires information about both the parent and baby.
Uploading a photo and video of the baby is a must, with Gerber saying to send “your smiliest, giggliest photo and video.”
Only one entry per baby is valid, and twins or triplets should be included in the same entry.
Who can enter the contest?
The contest is open to any tiny human between 1 day and 4 years old.
In submissions, babies under 24 months must be wearing at least a diaper, and anyone over that age should be fully clothed.
Filters on photos and videos are off limits. Video submissions have to be 20 seconds or less. A full list of submission details can be found on Gerber’s website.
A panel of judges from Gerber will pick the winner, someone who personifies the company’s mission of “anything for baby.” The winner will be contacted by the company with additional information.
