Joe Rogan coming to Dickies Arena in Fort Worth for a ‘phone-free’ comedy experience
Joe Rogan is bringing his “experience” to Fort Worth.
The veteran stand-up comedian and host of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the most listened to podcast in the world, is scheduled to play Dickies Arena on April 20, according to a news release. The stage set-up will be in the round.
Presale tickets are available to Dickies Arena mailing list subscribers at 10 a.m. Thursday. You can join the mailing list by visiting DickiesArena.com/mailing-list.
Tickets to the general public are available at 10 a.m. Friday.
More ticket information is available at DickiesArena.com and joerogan.com.
The event is billed as a phone-free experience. No phones, smart watches or accessories will be permitted.
All devices will be secured in individual Yondr pouches when fans arrive at the venue. The pouches will be opened at the end of the event.
Anyone using a device during the performance will ejected from the venue by security.
“Guests will maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue,” according to a Dickies Arena press release and Ticketmaster.com. “All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space.”
The release also says that “all pouches and equipment are routinely sanitized. The Yondr staff is trained and required to follow safety guidelines and hygiene protocols to practice social distancing, minimal contact and wear required personal protective equipment.”
Rogan has produced six comedy specials, including his last, “Strange Times,” which was released on Netflix in 2018.
Rogan, 54, has become a lightning rod for some conspiracy theorists for his views regarding COVID-19 vaccines. His podcast routinely hosts guests with contrarian views that often go against conventional wisdom or the mainstream.
