Pedestrian hit, killed by car as he attempted to cross street near Fort Worth
A 30-year-old man was killed Tuesday night when he attempted to cross a Crowley street and was hit by a car, authorities said.
The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with Crowley police. No charges are expected to be filed in the case.
The victim was identified as Jeffrey Daniel Brown of Crowley, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Wednesday. He died from blunt-force trauma, and his death has been ruled an accident.
The accident was reported about 8:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of S. Crowley Road in Crowley.
Brown was crossing the street when he was struck by the car, which was traveling southbound, Crowley police said.
The Crowley man was pronounced dead at the scene.
