Waitress receives more than $300 in donations after her tip was stolen at Tres Betos
A stolen tip led to more than $300 in donations to a single mother of two.
On Jan. 10, Tres Betos waitress Griselda Garcia went to clean a table and pick up her tip when she realized it was missing, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page and a GoFundMe account. Surveillance video from the north Fort Worth restaurant shows a man pocketing cash left behind at the table.
The owner of the restaurant posted the video on Facebook hoping to identify the man he says stole Garcia’s tip. While no one identified the man, people did comment asking to send money to Garcia.
On GoFundMe, more than 20 people donated $362 to Garcia.
