Death of 3-month-old in Grand Prairie being investigated as non-accidental

Grand Prairie police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old infant.

Officers responded Friday to a medical call in the 50 block of Spring Creek Road, where CPR was being performed on a 3-month-old baby, police said. The child was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Police said they are investigating the death as “non-accidental.”

Grand Prairie detectives are working with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office and Child Protective Services to investigate the death, which is being treated as non-accidental, police said.

The department couldn’t release further details on the death because of the sensitive nature of the incident, police said.

Police haven’t made any arrests in connection with the case.
