Fire contained at new baseball stadium in Arlington, reports say
A fire broke out at the new ballpark in Arlington Saturday.
Flames and smoke were seen at Globe Life Field at about 2:30 p.m.
The 2-alarm fire was contained by about 3:15 p.m., the Arlington fire department tweeted. No one was injured.
The fire was located and contained in the upper sections of the stadium. The cause of the fire is under investigation, the fire department said.
The Texas Rangers’ new retractable-roof ballpark is expected to be completed in March.
