Teenage sisters from Frisco die in car crash in Central Texas, suspect jailed

Two sisters from Frisco died over the weekend in a car crash in Central Texas, according to reports.

Payton, 16, and Hayden Weissman, 18, were remembered at a prayer vigil on Tuesday morning at Wakeland High School, according to CBS-DFW.

The sisters were in a Honda sedan with three other passengers when they were hit by a Dodge pickup truck at the intersection of Windy Hill Road and the northbound I-35 access road in Kyle around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, according to Fox 7 in Austin.

The three other passengers — the teens’ 12-year-old sister, their father and his girlfriend — were taken to a nearby hospital.

Macario M. Hernandez, 61, of Buda, ran away from the crash but was arrested soon after. He is booked into the Hays County Jail on two charges of accident causing death and three counts of accident causing serious bodily injury.
