Man jumps to his death from Texas 360 overpass in Arlington
A man jumped to his death off an overpass at the Texas 360/Interstate 20 interchange in southeast Arlington on Sunday, delaying traffic for two hours.
Police responded to a call received about 4 p.m. and found the man on the overpass. He jumped at 4:29 p.m., police said.
“As we arrived on the scene with Grand Prairie PD, we started trying to talk to him and he suddenly jumped,” Lt. Chris Cook, an Arlington police spokesman, said via email. “No officers were able to get close enough to him during the incident to prevent him from falling.”

Cook said one of the Grand Prairie officers was a negotiator.
Traffic was shut down on eastbound I-20 at 360 for two hours, until officials of the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office could arrive and conduct their investigation and remove the body, Cook said.
