The victim and suspect have been identified in a fatal shooting Saturday night.

Michael Tolbert, 58, of Arlington, was taken to the Medical Center of Arlington after being shot and was pronounced dead at 8:12 p.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.

Charles Edward Bell, 68, was booked into the Arlington jail late Saturday and faces a murder charge, police said. His bail is set at $250,000.

A woman called to report the shooting around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The incident occurred during an argument at the 3600 block of Covey Drive, northwest of Interstate 20 and Highway 360, police said.

“The shooter knew the victim. We just don’t know what the relationship is,” police spokesman Lt. Chris Cook said. “We know they had some argument about something and the shooter pulled out a gun and shot him.”
