Arlington homeowner finds man’s body in back yard

Police are investigating how a man’s body ended up in a back yard Saturday morning in the 4800 block of Brady Court, near the west side of Arlington Municipal Airport.

Officers responded to a homeowner’s call at about 7:30 a.m. Police said the homeowner did not know the man, identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office as Michael Hartley, 18, who lived a few houses down from where he was found. No cause of death was listed as of Saturday night.

Detectives are investigating whether reports of shots fired in the area a few hours earlier are related to the case. Police are asking residents of the neighborhood to check video surveillance footage between 1 and 4 a.m. that might have captured a dark-colored SUV followed by two to three cars.
