Arlington driver crashes into signal-light pole, dies
Police are investigating what could have caused a man to fatally crash his SUV into a signal-light pole on South Collins Street early Thursday, Arlington police reported.
James Bell, 56, was pronounced dead at 3:02 a.m. in the 3300 block of South Collins Street, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Bell’s SUV was southbound when, “for an unknown reason,” it left the roadway and crashed into a signal light pole, Lt. Chris Cook, an Arlington police spokesman, said in a news release.
No one was in the SUV with him, Cook said.
