Arlington firefighters contain two-alarm apartment fire
Arlington firefighters contained a two-alarm apartment fire early Thursday. There were no injuries, said Lt. Lee Tovar, a fire department spokesman.
Eight fire units were dispatched starting at 6:53 a.m. to the Sutter Creek Apartments near Arkansas Lane and Texas 360. When they arrived, they reported flames through the roof of a three-story apartment building.
“Fire crews made an aggressive fire attack and were able to keep the fire contained to the one unit,” Tovar said. “The apartment unit was vacant with most of the fire in the attic.”
Tovar said the first and second floors of the apartment building have water damage. The fire was under control by 8 a.m.
Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
