Arlington motel shooting leaves 2 injured
Police arrested a suspect Saturday after two people were shot at a motel Friday night.
Sontus Deshon Caraway faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two drug-related charges, according to the Arlington Jail website. He remained in custody Saturday evening, with bail set at $101,291.
The incident was reported at about 9:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Division Street, police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said Saturday. A man and a woman were taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with injuries that didn’t appear life-threatening, she said.
The victims were en route to the hospital in a private car when a police officer stopped them, Richard said. They were then transported by ambulance.
