UTA police apprehend “suspicious” man on campus
University of Texas at Arlington police apprehended a “suspicious” man on campus, but found no weapons on him after checking into reports he had a gun.
The school sent students an “ALL CLEAR” message at 11:10 a.m.
At 10:19 a.m., UTA had alerted students that police were investigating a report of a white male in fatigues with a gun on campus. About 30 minutes later, the school cleared students to “resume normal operations” outside the architecture building, where police were with the man in question.
ALL CLEAR: Suspect apprehended, no weapon found after multiple sweeps. Resume normal operations.
