Arlington police looking for suspect in Lincoln Square stabbing, one dead

A 25-year-old man was killed in Lincoln Square early Sunday after he was stabbed in the chest in the parking lot in front of Sherlock’s Baker St. Pub and Grill, according to Arlington police.

Police were looking for the suspect Sunday night.

The victim, Dustin McGee of Maumelle, Ark., was pronounced dead at 2:56 a.m. Sunday in the emergency room at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Arlington police said an altercation happened at 2:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Lincoln Square.

“At some point during this encounter, the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim once in the chest,” Arlington police spokesman Lt. Chris Cook wrote in a release.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 40s to 50s, about 6 feet tall, 250 pounds and unshaven. The man was wearing small-framed glasses and driving a silver or light gray early model ’90s or 2000 four-door car, witnesses told police.

The car is described as a Mercury Grand Marquis or a Ford Crown Victoria, with a blue vinyl roof and wire rims that stick out about 5 inches, police said.

Investigators were canvassing the area Sunday night looking for possible surveillance video and other witnesses.

McGee’s cause and manner of death had not been released Sunday evening.
