Arlington police continue search for attempted kidnapper

Police on Friday released a composite of a man suspected of trying to kidnap an Arlington teenager two days earlier.

The teen told police that she was jogging in the 2500 block of Gilbert Circle about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday when two men approached her in a dark-blue SUV.

The girl said one of the men got out of the SUV, ordered her inside and tried to grab her while displaying a knife.

The teen was able to run to a nearby apartment.

Investigators believe the men continued eastbound onto Abram Street.

The girl described the man driving the SUV as Hispanic, 5-foot-9, 140 pounds, and about 40 years old with short dark hair, police said.

The girl reported that the license plate might have started with “CW8.”
