1 Arlington restaurant closed for poor cleanliness, latest inspection report shows

One Arlington restaurant was temporarily closed for poor cleanliness and other health hazards, according to the city’s latest inspection report.

Arlington’s inspections function on a 100-point system, where a score of 100 is considered perfect and 70 is considered extremely poor. The city of Arlington also provides establishments with inspection score certificates, which assign a letter grade — A, B, C or F — to help customers see the results of the latest health inspection.

The report compiled by the Star-Telegram contains 44 inspections from June 7-13.

Vietalia Kitchen at 1220 S Cooper St., Suite 130, scored 66 and was temporarily closed. Health inspectors observed several violations including walk-in and prep cooler not working properly, leading to unsafe food temperatures, poor cleanliness of establishment and multiple repairs to be fixed. The restaurant reopened after a follow-up inspection.

Seven establishments had follow-up inspections:

  • King Buffet at 300 E Interstate 20 Highway.
  • Daireds Salon & Spa at 2400 W Interstate 20 Highway.
  • Blue Room at 1650 E Randol Mill Road, Suite 145.
  • Salata at 1705 N Collins St., Suite 131.
  • Candlelite Inn at 1202 E Division St. Score: 75.
  • Little Caesars Pizza at 1250 E Pioneer Parkway, Suite 400. Score: 83
  • Mimi’s Cafe at 301 E Interstate 20 Highway. Score: 89.
