20-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash with car on Arlington street, police say
A 20-year-old man who was riding a motorcycle was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash with a car in Arlington, police said.
Officers responded to the intersection of South Cooper Street and Wimbledon Drive about 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, to investigate the fatal wreck. They found the motorcyclist lying on the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died as Jesus Lozoya Quezada.
Investigators determined that Lozoya Quezada was driving north on Cooper Street and collided with a 2015 Honda Accord. The driver of the Accord was trying to turn from the southbound lanes of Cooper Street onto Wimbledon Drive, police said in a news release.
The impact of the crash caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike and the Accord to spin around.
The driver of the Accord immediately stopped and cooperated with officers in the accident investigation, police said. He was not injured and is not facing any charges.
Police said that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
