The city of Arlington says it has updated its smartphone app for residents to make it more user-friendly.

The Ask Arlington app helps people report a pothole, pay water bills, request another trash cart, track government meetings, apply for permits and more. You can track the progress of your requests in real time, too.

The city first launched the app in January 2017. The city says the new design makes it easier to navigate. It is available in English and Spanish.

You can download the app in the Apple or Google Play stores. If you already have the app, Apple users can download the update in the Apple store; Android users need to delete the old version and download the new one from Google Play.

Users will need to create a new account to be able to track the status of requests through the app. For more information, call 817-459-6777.
