One restaurant fails, four receive low scores in latest Arlington health inspections

One restaurant failed and four received low scores in the latest Arlington health inspections, according to city data. No restaurant was closed down.

There were 61 inspections from April 23 to April 29.

Arlington inspections are based on a 100-point system. A score of 100 is considered perfect, and a score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor.

S&S Cheesesteaks at 913 W. Pioneer Parkway failed with a score of 70.

Arlington inspection reports do not list specific violations.

Four restaurants, including S&S Cheesesteaks, received scores of 75 or less. The others were:

  • Opium Arlington at 3200 Justiss Drive: 74
  • Taqueria El Padrecito at 2020 E. Pioneer Parkway Suite 200: 75
  • Hurtado BBQ at 205 E. Front St.: 75

Re-inspections are conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less.

Four restaurants had follow-up inspections:

  • Opium Arlington at 3200 Justiss Drive: 74

  • Taqueria El Padrecito at 2020 E. Pioneer Parkway Suite 200: 75

  • Hurtado BBQ at 205 E. Front St.: 75

  • Taqueria La Potosina at 825 E. Sanford St.: 79
