Fort Worth man dies after three-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Arlington, police say
A Fort Worth man died after police in Arlington say he was critically injured in a crash involving three vehicles on Interstate 20 on Saturday morning, according to a news release.
The driver, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 30-year-old Lavarius Davis, was in a crash around 3 a.m. Saturday when his 1997 GMC Yukon rear-ended a Toyota Avalon and then was hit by a GMC Sierra, according to the release. The Yukon hit the concrete median and rolled on its side.
Davis was taken to a hospital, where later died from his injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to police.
The other drivers were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The driver of the Avalon was arrested, after he was cleared by medical staff, on multiple outstanding warrants.
The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-20 near Center Street.
