A 75-year-old woman was killed Tuesday night when her SUV fell over the side of a connector bridge on the Interstate 20/Texas 360 interchange in Arlington, police said.

A spokesperson for the Arlington Police Department said officers responded to a two-vehicle collision shortly after 9 p.m. The driver of a 2008 Saturn Vue made an unsafe lane change while traveling across the bridge connecting eastbound I-20 to northbound State Highway 360 and hit the front of a 2012 Honda Accord, police said in a news release.

The driver of the Vue lost control of her vehicle, which hit the concrete wall of the bridge and dropped over the side.

The driver of the Vue was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the Honda was uninjured and cooperated with the investigation. Police said he won’t face any charges connected to the accident.

Officials will identify the driver of the Vue after next of kin have been notified.
