Bigstock

One person is dead and another is in serious condition after a rollover crash in Arlington early Monday morning.

The accident occurred shortly after midnight in the 2900 block of Eaat Abram Street.

Witnesses told investigators that a black 2003 Toyota Tacoma was traveling east when it swerved off the road, hit a utility pole then rolled multiple times.

Officers believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

The vehicle’s driver, a 24-year-old man, died at the scene. A 23-year-old front seat passenger, who police said was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck. The 23-year-old man was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The 24-year-old has not yet been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The investigation remains ongoing.
