Garth Brooks announces Arlington concert date in July; tickets on sale soon
For the first time in nearly a decade, country singer Garth Brooks will return to North Texas for a concert in July.
Brooks will perform at AT&T Stadium July 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets, which will cost $98.95, all inclusive, will go on sale through Ticketmaster on April 15 at 10 a.m. It’ll be the country singer’s first time headlining at AT&T Stadium.
Brooks is the No. 1 selling solo artist in U.S. history with 157 million records sold, a news release said. He’s also the first artist to make it on Billboard’s Hot County Songs every decade since the ‘80s.
“Garth debuted ‘Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)’ in 1989. Now, with ‘Dive Bar,’ a duet he sang with Blake Shelton, he makes his appearance on the list in 2020,” a news release announcing the Arlington tour date said. “The single inspired a DIVE BAR tour to dive bars in country music capitals around the country which will continue its run of stops through 2022.”
The 60-year-old singer was awarded the Country Touring Artist of the Decade last year at the Pollstar Awards. His 2019 tour, The Stadium Tour, broke “stadium attendance records at every stop on the tour so far.”
“Pollstar announced at the end of last year that The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour was the best selling country music tour of 2019,” the news release said. “In 2017, Garth finished the three-and-a-half-year long Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood. The tour sold over 6.3 million tickets, making it the biggest North American tour in history and the biggest American tour in the world.”
Brooks, who’s won nine Diamond Awards for his nine diamond-certified albums which have sold 10 million album sales each, is known for his hits “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair,” “Friends in Low Places,” and “The Dance”.
