Woman dies after Arlington mobile home fire Thursday, authorities say

A woman died Thursday after a mobile home fire in the 4800 block of Kelly Elliott Road in south Arlington, the fire department said in an emailed statement.

The fire started around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. KTVT (CBS 11) reported that when firefighters arrived they found flames and smoke coming from the home. The fire department said it was a two-alarm fire.

The woman was pulled from the fire and taken to the hospital but later died, the fire department said. Crews at the scene treated her before she was taken to the hospital.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Mary Alice Ross, 62.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
