A motorcylist is dead after a four-vehicle accident in Arlington on Friday, in which police say the motorcycle struck a vehicle at the intersection of Arkansas Lane and Center Street.

Police said the motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene. The crash with the black Dodge Charger happened when the motorcycle driver was going through the intersection traveling westbound on Arkansas Lane and the Charger was making a right turn, according to police.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and the motorcycle hit a Toyota Corolla. The impact with the Dodge Charger caused both that vehicle and the bike to strike another that was stopped at a light at the intersection.

Police said excessive speed may have been a factor in the wreck. Nobody else was injured. No charges have been filed or citations issued.
