Man, 72, dies in Arlington crash; police investigating possible medical emergency
A crash that resulted in the death of an 72-year-old man Thursday morning is being investigated by Arlington police.
Authorities said a Lexus ES-350 was traveling westbound along Abram Street before 11:55 a.m. when it suddenly left the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck a concrete pillar on the Fielder Road overpass.
The man, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the driver experienced a medical emergency just prior to the crash.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man once next of kin have been notified.
