Motorcyclist, 44, killed after crash with SUV on Saturday in Arlington, police say

A motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon after he was involved in a collision with an SUV near the Village Creek Historical Area in Arlington, according to a news release.

Arlington police said the 44-year-old man, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as Patrick Michael Stephens, was traveling at an unsafe speed in the 2600 block of Dottie Lynn Parkway around noon Saturday when the driver of a Chevrolet Traverse made a left turn into the historical area.

Stephens was hit during the turn and died at the scene. None of the occupants of the Traverse were injured and the driver is not facing any criminal charges, according to police.
