Kenny Chesney has postponed his upcoming concerts, including one that was scheduled to take place in Arlington in April, the singer announced Thursday.

The country music star postponed 11 shows that were part of his 2020 Chillaxification Tour.

“You can’t take risks without really understanding the consequences,” Chesney said in a news release. “In times of uncertainty, I won’t take chances with those I love. I can’t imagine, as much as we love being out there playing for the fans, being able to do that through the worry our nation is experiencing.”

The Arlington concert was planned for April 18 at AT&T Stadium.

New tour dates should be announced within six weeks and those unable to attend the rescheduled shows will be refunded, the news release said.

Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead were also booked to play the tour.

Chesney last played in DFW at AT&T stadium in 2016.
