The new luxury hotel being built in the shadow of Globe Life Field is nearing completion and should be ready in time for football season at nearby AT&T Stadium.

Live! by Loews, a 302-room hotel and conference center being built next to Texas Live!, is accepting room reservations as early as Aug. 27, according to the hotel website. The cheapest room was going for $179 a night.

The 14-story hotel will have an infinity-edge pool and an event lawn for weddings and special events. A covered outdoor bar, the Tower Terrace, will have views of the nearby stadiums and Arlington’s entertainment district.

Rob Matwick, executive vice president of business operations for the Texas Rangers, said Loews hopes to start training staff in June.

The hotel is owned and operated by Loews Hotels & Co, with Cordish and the Rangers as its partners.
