He dragged a woman out of her car by her hair. Then, he ran away when she screamed

Arlington police continued their search for a carjacking suspect who attempted to steal a car last week from a woman in a grocery store parking lot.

The woman told WFAA-TV the suspect pulled her out of her car by her hair, but he ran away when she screamed for help and witnesses ran to the scene.

The attempted robbery occurred about 7:45 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of N. Collins St., in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

She told WFAA-TV she was in her car, getting ready to go into the store when a man walked up to her and opened the driver’s-side door.

The man told her not to scream and she wouldn’t get hurt.

But the suspect yanked her hair as she grabbed the steering wheel. The suspect managed to pull her out of the car, but he ran away as she screamed for help.

Anyone with information should call Arlington police at 817-459-5301 or Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477.
