Pickup driver killed in Arlington crash

A pickup driver was killed Thursday morning when his vehicle slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler on Interstate 20, police said.

Names had not been released Thursday afternoon.

No other injuries were reported.

Patrol officers responded to a call reporting a major accident about 9:50 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lane of Interstate 20 near U.S. 287.

Officers found that a pickup had hit the back of the 18-wheeler, killing the driver.

Two lanes of eastbound Interstate 20 were closed Thursday morning as officers investigated.
