3-year-old boy accidentally drowns in home swimming pool, police say

A 3-year-old boy who lived in Dallas drowned Thursday at a house in Grand Prairie, police said.

Aydrii Hicks was a resident of Dallas, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.

The drowning happened in a swimming pool at a house in the 4900 block of Shady Oak Trail.

Aydrii was transported to Medical City Arlington, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 6 p.m.

Police didn’t immediately release other details about the incident.
