Gunman accused in Frisco shooting might be in Arlington, police say

A gunman accused in an Aug. 9 shooting at Stonebriar Centre is believed to be in Arlington, police said Thursday.

Two other suspects, both from Arlington, have been arrested, police said. Detectives identified London Lane, 18, as the shooter in the case.

The shooting occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. Aug. 9 in a parking lot at Stonebriar Centre, 2613 Preston Road.

A man was found in the parking lot with a gunshot wound and suspects fled the scene, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was released after being treated.

At the time, police said the incident appeared to be isolated, but no other details were released.

During the investigation and with the assistance of Arlington police, detectives tracked the suspects to Arlington and arrest warrants were issued for Lane, Jessica Lawson, 19, and Treshun Miller, 18.

Three days after the shooting, Lawson, who was a passenger in the suspect vehicle, was arrested. Miller, who police say was the driver, was taken into custody after fleeing the state and he is awaiting extradition back to Texas, police said.
